Welcome Letter from the Cubmaster

I am thrilled to extend my warmest greetings and introduce you to our vibrant Cub Scout Pack 1000 serving the Shakerag community area of Johns Creek, Georgia. As the Cubmaster, I take great pride in the engaging and rewarding experiences we offer to young boys and girls like yours who are eager to embark on a journey of discovery, friendship, and growth. 

Here at Pack 1000, we are a close-knit community dedicated to fostering character development, leadership skills, and a love for the great outdoors. Our pack is part of the esteemed Boy Scouts of America organization, and we follow their time-honored values and principles.

Our dynamic den meetings and exciting pack activities are designed to promote teamwork, build self-confidence, and encourage a sense of responsibility in our young scouts. From camping adventures under starry skies to community service projects that make a positive impact, we provide a well-rounded program that nurtures both the mind and heart.

Our dedicated team of experienced leaders and parents work together to ensure that every child's scouting experience is unforgettable and filled with valuable life lessons. We believe in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every scout can thrive and unleash their full potential.

At Pack 1000, we embrace diversity and welcome families from all backgrounds and faiths. We believe that by celebrating our differences, we strengthen our unity and create a richer scouting experience for everyone involved.

Whether your child is new to scouting or has previous experience, we are delighted to have them join our pack. As a parent, you too will have a significant role to play in your child's scouting journey, and we encourage active involvement from all the families in our pack activities.

Main Pack Activities

Campouts

We typically have at least 2 campouts a year - one weekend in the fall and another in the spring.

Pinewood Derby

This highly anticipated event is where scouts get to design, build, and race their cars that originally started as just a block of wood.

Adventures

The Den is the small group within the Pack and is organized by grades K-5. Each Den meets monthly for the Scouts to tackle age specific activities known as Adventures.

Field Trips

From day trips to overnight stays, our Scouts get to experience firsthand some of the best historical and educational sites in the Southeast.

Community Service

Our Scouts give back to the community by adopting Rogers Circle, the road in front of the Shakerag Elementary school, or presenting the colors at local events.

Hiking

Our Hiking Club regularly explores the many beautiful trails here in northern Georgia.
